Waverton Good Read Award

Having been longlisted for the Waverton Good Read award, Lezanne visited Waverton in January 2014 to discuss her debut novel Jellybird, and to read from her second novel.

Every year the residents of Waverton make an award to the best British debut novel published in the previous 12 months. Some ninety 68 novels were submitted for the 2013/14 award, from which a longlist of books was selected. Each of the nominated authors has been invited to an event to meet readers and discuss their work. At the third meeting in January, Lezanne Clannachan described the inspiration behind her novel Jellybird. The large audience was entertained by readings from both Jellybird and her new novel Rooms For Lost Souls. The shortlist will be decided in March 2014
